What you need

An alternative to regular breadcrumbs, panko crumbs result in a lighter, crispier coating. We're also adding sesame seeds for a nutty crunch, and pairing this Asian-style schnitzel with a tangy lemon mayo that takes the menu classic to new flavour heights.

Preparation

  1. What you need

    • Select the number of serves you require for this recipe, and the quantity of ingredients will be automatically adjusted accordingly.
  2. Schnitzel

    • Prepare the chicken steaks with a meat mallet. Dust the chicken with seasoned flour.
    • Mix HELLMANN'S Real Mayonnaise with water (250 ml per 10 serves) in a bowl. Combine panko crumbs and sesame seeds in separate bowl.
    • Dip each chicken steak into the mayonnaise, then coat with the sesame panko mix.
    • Refrigerate for 15 minutes. Fry until golden and cooked through. Drain.
  3. Lemon Mayo

    • Combine extra HELLMANN'S Real Mayonnaise with the lemon juice in a bowl. Set aside.
  4. To Serve

    • Plate the schnitzel with steamed vegetables or salad, and the lemon mayo on the side.
  5. Chef's Tip

    • Instead of frying, spritz the schnitzels with cooking oil spray and bake in the oven at high heat until golden.
